What's New in the API

Our API is enriched with the following 3 points:

• Error feedback has been improved in cases where the IDs provided in the URLs do not exist. A 404 error is now returned, instead of a 500 error previously.
• In the /reference entry point, the category_id field has been added. It allows to know to which product category from the Specifications a Reference belongs.
• The PUT entry point https://api.grand-shooting.com/#tag/Picture-Tag/operation/putPictureTag that allows updating the tags of several Media Library items at the same time has been corrected (tags not applied in some cases).

Artificial Intelligence: Optimized Algorithms

Our teams continue the ongoing improvement of our artificial intelligence algorithms. This update integrates newer, more efficient versions for:

• ‍Packshot/Worn Detection: optimized recognition of shooting methods
• ‍Front/Back Detection: improved identification of model orientations
• ‍Image Classification: refined distinction between photos, diagrams, and photo_diagrams

More precise automatic recognition for an even more tailored processing of your visuals.

Marketplace: Integration of New Algorithms

The Marketplace module integrates new algorithms capable of automatically distinguishing three types of visuals:

• Photo: images shot of your products
• Schema: visuals created digitally (technical drawings, plans...)
• Schema_photo: photos enriched with technical information (dimensions, logos, information...)

This automatic classification allows for the application of the most suitable standardization treatments for each type of image, thus optimizing their distribution across different marketplaces according to their specificities.

Comment Report: Workflow Column Available

The Comment report now includes a new Workflow column that you can add to your display.

How to activate it (administrators only):

1. Click on the ⚙️ (Settings) icon at the top right of the homepage, then Reporting
2. Go to the Comment report settings
3. In the list of available columns, check Workflow
4. Reposition it if necessary by dragging and dropping
5. Confirm your changes

Only administrators can customize the display of columns. Once configured, the Workflow column will be visible to all account users.

Fixes

• ‍Search in shotlists: optimized performance for smoother navigation‍
• Large files: new alert icon for files exceeding 20,000 px on one side, not displayable in the interface
• Thumbnail color: Color profiles on .tiff formats are better supported on thumbnails and during exports. The displayed colors are improved.

Catalog: Optimized Display of Reshot Products

Tracking your products in the catalog has improved. When a product is reshot multiple times, the catalog now automatically displays the thumbnail of the last validated file, ensuring you always have an up-to-date overview.

Benefit: A catalog that accurately reflects the current state of your shootings, without confusion between old and new shots.

New Supported Formats: AVIF and Illustrator (.ai)

Grand Shooting is extending its compatibility with two new formats:

• AVIF files: direct upload of this next-generation image format
• Illustrator files (.ai): import and multi-page preview in the interface (displayed in "video" mode to navigate between pages)

Note: .ai files have certain limitations during exports. Consult the dedicated article on exports to learn about the available functionalities.

Validation Alerts: Instant Activation

Activate your validation alerts in real-time directly from the settings of your productions. No more waiting: alerts are displayed immediately on the screen for a more responsive monitoring of your approvals.
