The Export stage allows media to move from the retouching stage to the validation stage. Depending on the needs, exports can be configured to apply automatic processing (resizing, jpg conversion, ICC profile conversion, etc...) and / or automatically rename the files.
The Export stage is important: from a media that has been through post-production, it enables the generation of multiple media in formats optimized for the distribution targets.
The simplest example is the management of high and low definition formats: media are captured and then edited in high definition. The Export stage allows:
It is entirely possible to multiply the exports to generate media in formats optimized for all kinds of distribution targets: Amazon, Zalando, other marketplaces, etc.
The Export stage can also be used to automate the renaming of media. For example, if it is easier at the time of the shooting to use EAN codes to name the raw files, Grand Shooting can apply automatic naming to name each media with the product name. Another example: exports can also be used to remove a camera counter that helps to differentiate each media before selection during the shooting.
The Export stage is also an opportunity to control compliance with the specifications: have all the expected views been produced? Are the output formats correct? Are the file names correct? etc.
The significant volume of media no longer allows for exhaustive manual control. The platform automatically detects anomalies and displays in red the views that do not comply with the specifications.
With the specifications, the Export stage is certainly the functionality that requires the most settings. But rest assured: nothing is blocking and nothing will block your productions. You can set up your exports gradually and evolve them over time.

By default, the platform exports images after post-production without modifying them. These are the "original exports".
