How do I load images into the Live?

The live is the stage corresponding to the loading of raw media on Grand Shooting. It can be carried out by an account user, a photographer or an external digital operator. To load media on the “Live”, know that there are three different ways to do this:

  1. Drag and drop your images/folders directly onto the “Live”.
  2. Click on “images” then select the files you want to import.

  1. Use our synchronization software that allows you to synchronize a folder on your computer with Grand Shooting. Thus, charging can be done as the shooting progresses.
A dedicated article is available: The sync client

Note : if you use a folder tree, you must keep it throughout the shoot. The “Folders” view mode allows you to add images to the correct subfolders if necessary.

Give access to an external photographer/digital operator

If you work with freelancers, you can give them unitary access to each production. Go to the production settings > Alerts and Worklow section > Capture manager.

After entering the email address of the person in charge of the capture, an email is sent to inform them of the creation of the new Live.

The image below shows An example of an email sent

From then on, the person will be able to create a Grand Shooting account for free and access the Live to load the images.

Namely:

You can load all file formats: JPG/TIFF/PSD/PSD/MP4/GIF/PDF.
Grand Shooting does not develop raw photos (RAW, NEF,...). Only expanded photos (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or PSD) are shown. Why? Because most often presets are applied to raw photos to develop them.

In some cases, retouching requires raw photos to re-develop. We then advise you to load both the raw photos and the developed photos: in the Live the association between the two files is automatic, you will not see the duplicate images.
