The Reference is the primary entry point of the GS Catalog and must be unique. Put simply, your work is complete when all the References in the Catalog have the expected validated Media.

Depending on your needs and organization, the amount of data stored in the Catalog for each reference can vary significantly:

• For the simplest organizations, a basic list of references may suffice.
• Other organizations may need to add the Product Category, barcodes, logistical identifiers (SKU), launch dates, and much more.
