HomeGlossaryPost-production

A Production can have 0, 1, or 2 Post-production stages.

Starting from the “source” media recorded in the Live stage, the reworked media are uploaded in Post-production. The user interface is optimized here for comparing media before and after Post-production.

By default, the Post-production stage is called “Phase 1.” The media are reviewed to check the final result before being submitted for Approval.

[[gsGoodToKnow title="Keep in mind"]]

In the particular case where a Production is created with a Delegation account, the Post-production stages are not accessible from the main GS account.

Consider the case of a partner agency handling a photo shoot: during the shoot, the media are visible on the main GS account’s Live stage to facilitate collaboration.

The Approval stage is of course also visible, as it is the main account that validates the media.

However, Post-production is handled by the external agency – what happens there is not visible from the main GS account.

The media are therefore processed in Post-production, then Exported and presented for Approval. When a media file is rejected at the Approval stage, its rejected status is also visible in Post-production.

Corrected media are re-uploaded in Post-production, then Exported and submitted for Approval. GS retains all versions uploaded during Post-production, enabling you to compare versions and verify that correction requests have been properly implemented.
