The Format refers to the technical specifications expected for a media file. In addition to the file format (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, MP4, etc.), a list of optional attributes is defined:
Maximum file size
Dimensions in pixels
Resolution in dpi
ICC profile
Filename format
For images, it is possible to define a template, that is:
Margins to be respected (expressed as a percentage of the image size)
A centering point (e.g., "center middle")
In this case, the Format “CARRE_L_CENTRE” expects an image in JPEG format, a size of 2200x2400 pixels, an sRGB ICC profile, and a centered template with margins expressed as percentages.
Formats can be used in two ways in GS:
By default, Exports check images and trigger alerts when Formats are not respected (excluding templates, which must be manually verified during Approval).
If your license permits, with the AI module activated, you can configure Exports to automatically adjust media to the prescribed Format.

In the Specifications, when you assign a Format to an expected media file, you must specify the View Code for that media.
A Format may therefore be applied to several media files within the same Product Category in the Specifications, with the View Code serving as the differentiator.
