HomeIntroduction

Now that you have created a session and set up the workflow, let's see how to upload images.

After entering the email address of the person responsible for capturing, an email is sent to inform them of the creation of the new Live.

The image below shows an example of an email sent to a retoucher. The email intended for the capture manager is similar.

The Grand Shooting synchronization app is installed on the capture workstation. For everything you need to know about using the synchronization app, please refer to the article Digital Operator – Get Started in 5 Minutes.

The developed photos on the capture workstation are then automatically synchronized with the platform:

  • newly developed images will be uploaded to the server
  • an image deleted on the capture workstation will be removed from the server
  • an image that is renamed will also be updated on the server

[[gsHeadsUp]]If you do not wish to install the synchronization app, there is an even simpler method: you can drag and drop the files directly into Live via your browser (files or folders containing media).

  1. Grand Shooting does not process raw photos (RAW, NEF, etc.). Only the developed photos (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or PSD) are displayed. Why? Because most of the time, presets are applied to raw photos to develop them.
  2. In some cases, retouching requires raw photos. We recommend synchronizing both the raw and developed photos: in Live, the association between the two files is automatic, so you will not see duplicate images, even if the files are organized in separate folders.
