HomeIntroduction

The Phase 1 or Phase 2 steps are not always necessary. You activate them as needed for image retouching or video post-production.

Similarly to how access rights are granted for Live, the retoucher(s) receive an email inviting them to synchronize their two work directories:

  1. the directory containing the Live files (read-only rights)
  2. the directory to deposit the retouched media (write permissions)

Grand Shooting helps focus attention on the important points:

  • Are there any urgent issues?
  • Which media have been annotated?
  • What remains to be done?

The files are represented by dots:

  • The left column lists the Live media. The file name appears below the dot. The status (blue dots in this example) and the number of comments are included within the dot.
  • The right column lists the media uploaded in Phase 1. Each dot is positioned opposite the one sharing the same file name in Live (except that the file extension may change).

  1. The folder organization may differ between Live and Phase 1. The alignment of the dots is based on the file names.
  2. The extensions can also change. For example, files named fichier_1.tif in Live and fichier_1.jpg in Phase 1 will have their dots aligned.
  3. You can align several dots from Phase 1 with the same dot from Live. This is useful, for instance, if post-production has to deliver several variations.

Click on a dot to display the thumbnail in the right column and open the annotation tool, just as in Live.

At any time, you can trigger exports (the next step in the workflow) to submit the uploaded files for validation. If any exported files are rejected, you will be notified in Phase 1.
