HomeIntroduction

A technical step dedicated to preparing media for validation. Exports can be automatic or triggered manually.

By default, GS submits for validation the original files uploaded in post-production (Phase 1 or Phase 2), or the files uploaded in Live if there is no post-production.

By configuring your exports, you can apply processes such as renaming, resizing, or limiting the file size of the final files.

Exports are also useful to check various points such as the presence of a color profile or the association between the media and your product catalog. The goal here is to simplify your workflow, because monitoring everything manually is very time-consuming.

We will not go into the details of exports or explain all the possible parameters here. If you want to know more, please refer to the Knowledge Base. Keep in mind that this is a technical step to offer the media for validation. It is present in all productions and can be either manual or automatic.

In this example, 194 images are exported. The left column indicates Original Export, meaning that the files are exported without any processing.

Finally, the exported images are checked when a specification sheet has been provided, so that images that do not comply are highlighted in red.

In this Introduction chapter, we left the exports unconfigured to deliver the images for validation without any control or processing. Had we enabled controls, alerts could have appeared in red to identify images that do not meet these standards.

If the exports are triggered automatically, you do not need to do anything. If the workflow is set up not to trigger exports automatically, click on the Generate Exports button to submit the files for validation.

  • You can trigger exports as many times as you wish.
  • The platform only processes files that have been modified (or deleted) since the last exports.
