Looks are an important feature of the Live and Styling module: you can tag a list of References on an image sequence.

The name comes from the fashion industry. By extension, you can use this feature to identify all the References present in a composition, regardless of the media type (image, video, 3D).

In this example, 3 References are associated with the image sequence within a Look: the shirt, the trousers, and the shoes.

Looks can be created before a Production in the Styling module, or after media has been uploaded in the Live stage.

A media file can be assigned to one or several References within the Look.

Throughout the workflow, a media file undergoes only one Post-production, even if it is selected for multiple References in the Look.

Depending on your needs, you can configure the Exports:

  • to retain only a single copy of the media in Approval,
  • or to duplicate the media for each Reference with which it is associated in the Look.

This example shows a Reference associated with a Look. For this Reference, 3 images have been selected.
In this example, the first 4 selected images are marked “x2”. This means they have been selected for 2 References in the Look.

Finally, the Live stage offers a downloadable XLSX report that lists the content of all Looks, as well as a report listing the selected files.
