Configured within a Format, the Layout controls the size and positioning of the product in the media.

For simplicity, let’s consider an example:

The Reference associated with the media belongs to the Product Category “4039”.

In this Product Category, the view with the View Code “1” is assigned the Format “RECTANGLE_VERTICAL_6XL_CENTRE.”

The Layout configured for this Format specifies a margin defined as a percentage of the image size, as well as a product positioning of “center - center.”

[[gsHeadsUp]]If your license has the AI module activated, the application of the Format (and thus the Layout) can be automatic. By default, GS allows you to overlay the Layout on the image to be validated for manually checking proper alignment.

Finally, on the Post-production screens, it is possible to automatically apply a Format to cutout objects (PNG images). The objects will then be placed within the image to comply with the Layout.
