HomeGlossaryGrade

The Grade is a score ranging from A to E that qualifies all the Media associated with a Reference with respect to a Marketplace’s guidelines.

The Media of a Reference are first analyzed intrinsically, each on its own (visual style, product size within the image, etc.).

The results of this initial analysis are then compared against the requirements of a guideline:

  • Which Media is the best candidate for each position in the guideline’s sequence?
  • To what extent do the candidate Media meet the guideline criteria?

The Grade is the outcome of these evaluations: it objectively measures the gap between the Media and the guideline, scoring from A to E.

[[gsTable]]| GRADE | DÉFINITION |
| --- | --- |
| E | Unacceptable - The reference includes at least one visual with a blocking issue. The requirements for publication cannot be met even after processing. |
| D | Acceptable After Processing - The reference includes at least one visual with a blocking issue. The requirements for publication can be met after processing |
| C | Acceptable - The reference includes at least one visual with a non-blocking issue. The requirements for publication can be met after processing. |
| B | Good - All visuals of the reference have the expected format. GS detects that the merchandising could be improved. |
| A | Optimal - The guideline is respected; the order and quality of the visuals are validated. |

[[gsHeadsUp]]The Grade of a Reference only makes sense relative to a specific guideline. In fact, the same Reference can have two different Grade values with respect to two distinct guidelines.
