A Batch is a logical unit within the Logistics module: instead of scanning Articles in bulk, they are grouped into Batches.

The grouping logic is left flexible to meet operational needs.

• In some cases, Batches correspond to the packaging used for shipping Articles (trays, cartons, racks, etc.).
• Batches can also represent time units, for example to list the References of a collection (in the fashion sector) or the flow of References to be shot for the coming month.

For larger organizations, Batches themselves can be grouped into Zones.

An Article is associated with a batch. From the Logistics screens, it is possible to move Articles from one batch to another.

In the Catalog, the batch in which the Article is located is displayed.

At the time of product shipment, the user can specify a shipping batch.
